Gateway Tech 2002
March 28-31, 2002 at the Frontenac Hilton
(western burbs of St.Louis)
Gateway Tech FAQ
Not yet updated for 2002
Q: Do I have to be a BMWCCA Member to attend?
A: No, but if you have any interest in attending, I would think that by the end of March you'd be a member. It's the best $40 you'll ever spend.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: You can find a registration form in the Roundel, or you can click here and print one up.
Q: How much should I know about BMW tech if I want to attend.
A: Gateway Tech generally covers the more advanced topics of car care and modification. Prerequisite knowledge is not required, but you might find yourself with a kinda steep learning curve, so be sure to bring a notepad and ask plenty of questions.
Q: I'm a BMW Service/Product company, how can I use Gateway Tech to promote my product?
A: We have a number of levels of advertising and sponsorship. For more details, the vendor registration form can be found here.
Q: Are there dress requirements over the weekend?
A: Well, not really; be comfortable. Although many of us will wear a jacket and tie for the Saturday night banquet, it is not required. If you plan on a nice dinner away from the hotel, you will want to dress appropriately. When packing, you may want to keep in mind that the hotel does have a fitness room and pool.
Q: I have a question that is not listed here. How do I get it answered?
A: If you can't find the answer on this, or any other Gateway Tech page, you can email the Gateway Tech chairman at gtchair@stlbmwclub.com. He would be glad to answer it and we will try to get your Q&A added to this page. If you have a question about the club race or other item not directly related to Gateway Tech, check the contact page to send your questions to the right person.
Q: Will I get free stuff?
A: That all depends on your luck. We have lots of great door-prizes to give away. Springs, shocks, tires, wheels, books, hats, mugs, and posters are just part of the list from last year. Be sure to bring your four-leaf clover, your rabbit's foot, and any other object that might just give you an extra edge over the next guy.
Maybe this helps....
