Dave,
I'm a BMW novice, and I guess I don't know what a "B34" motor is. All I know is that my car is an '85 635 (U.S. version), originally rated at 182 HP with an M30 engine. Stock compression is only 8:1 which is a bummer. I'd love to rebuild the bottom end with higher compression pistons but I'm just not ready to commit to pulling the motor out of the car (getting too old for that sort of stuff). At 117K miles it's probably got plenty of life left in it. Considering the low compression, if I go to a stronger cam it'll have to be pretty mild in duration. The Euro cam has been suggested to me. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this too. Thanks again!LarryM
