rear spoiler. It was rescued from a '82 Euro 528i that was rotting away in upstate NY. I acquired it along with the OEM front spoiler that bolts to the bottom of the front valance. What's cool about the front spoiler is the brake ducts. I'm not talking about the openings in the spoiler , but actual ducts that mount on the rear side of the spoiler to duct air right at the front rotors.

BTW: I wouldn't use any type of abrasive material to get the paint off. The rubber type spoilers are rather soft and I think walnut shell may even be too aggressive. Try testing something like acetone on the underside of the spoiler. If the acetone doesn't attack the rubber, it'll take most paints like Rustoleum and Krylon off.
