I have no idea how a water softener system works -- wouldn't the use of salt in a home water softener system rust out your car when you use it for washing? Do Y'all get an extra dose of salt every time you drink water or add it to food?

the car is still spin happy in 1st. BTW - the salt is for my water softner at the house.
