I have a brand new short shifter that I was going to put on my '85 535i before I sold it. It has been sitting at my house for about a year, sitting in its bag. It replaces the entire shifter from the input shaft of the transmission to the actual shift lever itself. There is no knob included, but you would be able to reuse yours. I bought it new from Bavarian Autosport for somewhere around $150, I'll sell it to you for $100 including shipping.
