Actually in you case syn is better. With Syn you can change every 6 months because you don't do a lot of driving. With Dino you would have to change evey 3. Once oil(syn or Dino) is exposed to air, it starts to break down and attract H2O. Dino does this more rappidly than Syn. Also, since Syn dosen't congele like Dino...while your car is sitting, you'll do less harm to you engine. I pay $22 for a six pack of Mobil 1 at BJ's Wholesale...that is cheap insurance in my eyes. If $22 is a lot of money, then you own the wrong car...I would not go back to Dino just to save a few bucks....it will cost you later.

in the case of my car which will see probably an average of 3-5k a year and will get seasonal oil changes,i cant see putting the money into synthetic. also i think the po just switched it to synthetic before i purchased it so i dont't think it's had it since new. any opinions and/or facts here would be helpful.
