Pretty much has to be by the mile... Where I work they pay us 35 cents a mile, but using your own car is pretty much verboten. Something to do with insurance that makes little sense to me...hence, I have a Hertz car 365 days a year...strange.

The .35 includes us buying our own gas by the way, and remember, whatever they pay you...... keep very good records, because when tax time comes it can be a PITA.
