Your facts seem accurate and I agree that this car isn't worth a damn to an insurance company. But that doesn't mean that they should do a half-assed repair job on the car. Their insured caused damage to my car, and they should be prepared to fix it to my complete satisfaction. But I do realize that there is a difference between "should" and "will".
And even with the seemingly high cost of repair, the damage really isn't that bad. It's all exterior pieces that could be replaced fairly easily. I'll e-mail you a pic when I find your e-mail address. Now this would be a whole helluva lot easier if I could only find some diamondschwarz replacement body parts.
And believe me, I do count my blessings. I have gotten away with some stupid shit when I was younger. But it really pisses me off that this was in no way my fault, yet I still have to put up with BS from insurance.
I can't even imagine how hard I would have hit him if I didn't have the e28 M5 front brake upgrade at the time. Now THAT could have been bad and definitely totalled my car, to say the least.
Thanks for the input Brandon, but seriously, lighten up.
