I was reading my book of 5-series road test and a euro 525e with automatic does zero to 60 in 9.8 seconds. It makes about 5 more hp and torque then US cars. However my 1983 528e has a jim c chip so maybe zero to 60 is about 9.5 sec. which is pretty good for such an old car. One question i have is my redline still is 4500 rpm, the chip did nothing for this. Is this correct? Thanks

My 1985 528e with Jim C chip goes to 5300rpm like Jim C said so. It actually goes past where the tachometer can read. Then about 1 second later it hits the limiter :)
