I did this little "upgrade" on 2-8-02. Before, I had a front Euro plate that I got off eBay. It was nice, but due to the absolute incompetency of college drivers, it had some nice dents in it from other people's lack of ability to parallel park. Besides, I didn't really like the way it broke up the front (which is why I removed my front fogs yesterday, too).
Below are some pictures from a couple of angles that show the front with the plate, with no plate, and then with the BMPD front bumper plug.
The plug was very easy to install. It was made of the same exact rubber material as the front bumper rubber impact strip. The only problem was that it was a little too wide to fit correctly. I took a filet knife (the closest knife around) and cut off about a mm or so (maybe less). Just enough to make it fit.

The BMPD bumper thingy was an adhesive-backed piece of rubber. All you have to do is see how much to cut off, remove the paper, and press it into place.
