1987 535i 216k what to look out for? (archive)

I am looking at a 535i manual trans w/ 216k mi.
I'm told maintenance has been routine...Oil change ea. 3k mi, etc... What should I look out for/expect for this many miles on engine. (I've heard they can go to 300k).
