No i put the thermostat in a boiling pan of water and it opened just fine so i dont know what the problem is


Chris, I would still try a new t- stat. How is your water pump? if it seized up the belt should be glazed or even snapped. My priorities would be 1. t-stat 2. check water pump 3. check the flow through the radiator - remove top and bottom hose and stick a garden hose in and see how the water flows. mike
