This is the sort of thing that we did at my shop all the time...350's in Jags, 302's in 280 MB's, stuff like that, and it's really not that big of a deal, IF:

1. You have a shop where you can fabricate all the bits you'll need, or as an alternate..
2. Virtually unlimited funding.

Trust me, it will nickel and dime you to death. Hoses, belts, motor mounts, wiring, new springs, the dent in the hood when you close it, and on and on and on... it will become a nightmare, and the 800 bucks will pale in comparison to what you pour into the car before you finally throw it away.

Here's a better deal...;-) (Shameless plug)I have a '87 528e motor and trans (106K)for 600 bucks that will fit right in there as if by magic....;-), and it won't make you crazy...
