Experience with Racing Dynamics Sway Bars? (archive)

I'm trying to decide between Racing Dynamics and Suspension Techniques sway bars. I've already installed Eibach springs and Bilstein Sport shocks, and want a good match for those components. I know the ST bars are a larger diameter than the RDs and are used by many E24/E28 owners, but I'm considering the Racing Dynamics bars because of the company's reputation for high quality and the fact that they're a dedicated BMW high-performance parts supplier. Also, since the Racing Dynamics bars are somewhat smaller, it may not be necessary to reinforce the sway bar mounts like many guys have to do with larger bars.

However, the way I understand it, Racing Dynamics went through a reorganization years ago and split into two separate companies: Europe-based "Racing Dynamics" and American-based "RD Sport". The sway bars for our cars are manufactured by Racing Dynamics, for whom Electrodyne is the U.S. distributor. When I called Electrodyne to get some info, the sales guy didn't seem very informed. Bavauto (who sells them) tells me that years ago Racing Dynamics had some quality control problems with their springs which has since been corrected, but the quality of their fiberglass aero parts still isn't the greatest. However, he also said they've never had any problems with Racing Dynamics' sway bars, and recommends them.

So, does anyone here have any first-hand experience with Racing Dynamics sway bars, positive or otherwise? I have nothing against using Suspension Techniques, other than the reasons mentioned above. Thanks for the input!
