Have a 85 528e, it idles nicely and runs fine at a steady speed. But you can feel the engine rpms surge up and down while accelerating. Worse when its cold. When its cold I can put it in park and run the rpm's to 1500 and it will surge from 1200 to 1800 rpms. Not as bad when it warms up. Any suggestions?
