Either way, do it, man! There are millions of e28 guys in Arizona that would love to help you fix that electrical problem. It's probably nothing big if it's a no-start problem. A multimeter alone might be able to track it down.

You really owe that guy one. I know he's in the better part of town, but, if anything, maybe you could take him and his family out to a nice restaurant and pay for it or something, you know? That's awesome!

I wish someone would offer me a free 535i, lol.
