Help! problem with shift mode. (further) (archive)

Sorry for the second post, but wanted to make it more clear. The Sport mode works, as does the "123" mode. When placed in "e" or economy mode it is still functioning in sport mode. The switch sounds and feels like it is clicking over to economy, but still shifts in sport mode. I am baffled. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions?
