It's hard to keep it in mind and go that way but the mechanical things tend to fail more than the electronics. I would replace the O2 sensor, as even if you don't want to run with it, it is a valueable diagonistic tool. It tells you if you are rich or lean and if you have a vacuum leak it may run better with it in the loop than open loop, it can correct the mixture, within limits, either rich or lean. I know there is some theoretical talk about the significance of CO2 readings, but I don't put much into them. I just smogged my 83 733 yesterday, it runs great, and was very clean with CO2 readings of 12.6% both at idle and 2500rpm. And I've seen cars pass with CO2 as low as 10%. As far as CO goes, while they often do better, .2% co isn't bad, even .5% is OK, they run OK and pass smog OK at that reading.
