Somehow the nut holding the flywheel down on the crankshaft fell off after having my pressure plate replaced. Couldn't figure out what was going wrong.. symptoms: every time I drove the car from a cold start, I'd get maybe 6 blocks down the road and then experience an epileptic seizure with the entire car bucking back to front. I would pull over and let the E28 have its fit for about 3-5 minutes, then the rpms would stabilize and I could continue at a normal pace. But on the trip home it would be the same.. 6 blocks and a seizure. Finally the car just would die out at the six blocks and I started to hear loud fluttering in the engine compartment. Took to mechanic, he found the flywheel pully loose and pushing into fan path...two broken fan blades, and a missing crankshaft nut holding the flywheel pulley in place. Found a replacement nut and put it on. Still the seizures..checked fuel lines..put a vicegrip tool on fuel return hose and car runs smoothly but fuel pump makes loud buzzing sound. Next day the brake, battery and parking brake warning light comes on, temperature gauge goes to red area, power steering lost, then finally power braking ...parked the car. Any ideas??
