seperate item in the US. They were only used in the '85 model year on 535,635 and 735 cars. Usually need to buy the trans to get the bellhousing, but you can always sell the trans and recoup most of your investment. The e30M3 uses the 265 and so there is a market for them. They can't use the bellhousing.

If you can find someone with a bellhousing expect to pay about $50- $100.

Hi I have a 265 gearbox out of a 85 535i with 201K miles on the odr. and I want to sell it.It has the removible bellhouseing, and a friend wants just the bellhousing.
my ? is how much is the gearbox complete and the bell houseing worth?
