That nut is known to be a problem with hi-performance / high rev / M type cars. From your description it sounds like the hub is spinning on the crankshaft. No water pump (overheating) no alternator (batt light comes on) no power steering pump (power steering and loss of brake boost) My guess is the key on the crankshaft has sheared off and allows the hub to spin. It's possible you may be looking at a new engine, or at least crankshaft, but I'd try replacing that key, possibly the crank hub, getting everything very clean with carb cleaner, and slathering the crank with green locktite, the stud and bearing mount stuff. You have probably caused some wear on the end of the crank and the green stuff I think is rated at taking up to .010" of play. Then locktite the nut and crank it down as good as you can. Let it set overnight and cross your fingers. Be careful about the vice grips on the fuel line, you are building up pretty good pressure there and at risk of blowing lines off or causing leaks. Mike
