My 528e does that, but only when the radio volume is loud (?). They just go crazy locking and unlocking randomly. It's been known to do this even parked w/ no key in ignition. Can't rely on it statying locked or unlocked too well. My lazy man's solution has been to hold the driver's side lock down w/ my thumb, and when it tries to unlock, the other 3 unlocvk but not the driver's side, and it stops (so weird).

Once I was parked nose to nose with another car in a parking lot jumping his dead battery when the locks decided to act up, locking me out with the car running, lights on. Then... it started pouring rain! Lots of fun.

I was washing my car and all of a sudden the doors all locked on their own. And I could hear the power locks trying to relock the doors about once a second. It would wuit for a while and then start the auto-locking all over again. And of course my only key was in the car.

Any idea what causes this? Probably a water short, but where? And any tricks to getting the thing to unlock short of calling a locksmith?
