On a Strut-style suspension that the bmw's use, the struts themselves become the main load bearing piece in the suspension (that's also why stiff springs are key to control body roll and diving as well). But using the strut brace will connect the two towers which will stop much of the flexing that's there. Definate plus, and that's why it's my next mod.

88 528e 212k w/ GC coilovers + GC camber/caster plates and Bilstein sports. (spring rates= 450 fr and 300 rr). rides nice so far.
