They all look similar because it's the nature of things. When one design proves itself to be effective, other teams will take that into account and develop around it. It just so happens that the aerodynamicists must like that layout of the current 'look' due to it's performance. -don't forget, if it doesn't work, it wont be on an F1 car, it's too costly to add that weight/drag.
