Any chance you could be more specific, I dont have the Bentley guide (I know I should get one but I'm cheap.) Or do you have a copy or a link to the service bulletin maybe. Anything would be of help, im fixing what seem to be an infinte number of electrical gremlins this car has.

You need to swap the relays on the outside of the fuse box, one is interferring with the other. My '85 535i did the same thing and I found a TCB from BMW describing the fix. It is also shown in the Bentley.
