'88 528e Motronic Unit "Teardown"? (archive)

I'm in the process of replacing a faulty Motronic 1.1 unit. I've gotten the old one out, then figured I may as well open it up.

Can anyone shed any light on how to access the upper and lower PCBs.

I've gotten as far as removing the cover and the bottom plate, but that's it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
