85 528e Altitude Sensor cover? (archive)

I was driving today and heard something fall out from under the hood in a curve. I stopped and looked, could not find anything. So, I went back to where I heard the sound and found the top to what the Bentley calls the altitude sensor connector. The insides of the sensor are loose. The top must have been "popped" off because three of the tabs are missing.

Is this a problem that I should worry about?
