Yeah that is Mike McCoy he is here in Atlanta,
I am going to check out his set up soon. He dremeled his intake to fit the m20 block. He is pushing 260hp @6psi. He wants to talk to me about my stroker, he plans to build one this summer and turbo that. The amazing thing is he did all of the work for the turbo in his dorm room. I will let you know about it..........
KC
What block is a 524td............Is it a m20
Thanks,
KevinThe 524td was called the m21, I think. It was a different iteration of the m20. Check out this site for info on an e34 525i (w/ m20 engine) that used a 524td intake manifold for his turbo conversion. He ended up having to make a lot of modifications to the manifold for it to bolt up to the engine.
That's all I know about it.
BTW, you wouldn't happen to know if it's safe to stroke a 2.7l m20 to, say, 3.0 liters, do you?
TIA,
Brad Couvillon
