Brad I did not see your question about stroking it to 3.0l. The answer is yes you can do it safely, if you want to find out more call Pete McHenry at Precision Performance in NC 336-761-0643

What block is a 524td............Is it a m20
Thanks,
Kevin

The 524td was called the m21, I think. It was a different iteration of the m20. Check out this site for info on an e34 525i (w/ m20 engine) that used a 524td intake manifold for his turbo conversion. He ended up having to make a lot of modifications to the manifold for it to bolt up to the engine.

That's all I know about it.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to know if it's safe to stroke a 2.7l m20 to, say, 3.0 liters, do you?

TIA,

Brad Couvillon
