This is a great site, and I'm sure it will continue even as new software on the board restricts the sale of items. We'll deal with it.

Besides here, go to M535i.org (how many times has that been said this month?). It has a wealth of information as well. That's got some great information about the big brake upgrade. Also chips are in favor here, and I think I can say that the JimC chip is the favorite.

Get a Bentley. Even if you won't do much of the work yourself, it's a great reference.

Upgrade your rims/tires if you haven't. TRX's aren't quite up to modern standards, and the replacement tires are not cheap.

What else.... Oh yeah...enjoy!

I look forward to reading some good info on mods and general goodies in the postings. What would one reccomend for a first time owner of such a great car? The car I just bought(87 535is) is super minty with 160k on it. All major services have been done. What are some great mods to do? Is it cool to black out the chrome trim? Different brakes?? Thanks in advance guys. I will be here for a while.
