I have soaked mine in Oil Flo. It is the product that dealers were supposted to spray on and wash the stuff off. I found that after having it sit for a day or 2, it removed some of the stuff. Try it, not to hard to do, and if it doesn't work, Oil Flo is a great oil based cleaner.
