What tire size should I run on 17" rims? I bought a set of 17" 540I wheels from a 1999 e39. Has anyone put these on an e28?

WAYYYY TOOOOO WIDEEEEEE, will rub the hell out of yoiur rear fender lip. Even if you run 185-20-17, the wheel will not fit. A e28 can really only run a max. of 7.5 withoiut ANY chance of body rub using the proper offset. I just got my 17" Motorsport replics from Discount Tire direct today. Mounted 225-45-17 and there is NO problems. offset is 17X7.5 et20.
