Bob,

As many owners on this board can attest, the purchase price of an E28 M5 is the easy part.

Unless you're looking at a low mileage example or buying one just to look at, you can plan on spending some pretty serious money to keep things going.

If it already has problems, taking the car for free may still end up costing you a fortune.
