In regard to warped rotors, M5/6 rotors generally dissipate heat quite poorly thus causing the rotors to warp. Several factors can infer the time frame in which the rotors will warp, usually around 60k. e32 7 series rotors are a direct bolt on which are usually used. I have explored several plausible replacement upgrades as my rear rotors have warped at a mere 36k and I am faced with the eminent upgrade. Below is a list of parts necessary to replace/ upgrade the brakes on the e28 M5.

Item Part No. Left Part No. Right
  Caliper E34/E32  34 21 1 160 400  34 21 1 160 399

 Item Part No.
  Rotor E34 540  34 21 1 159 659

 Item Part No.
  Carrier E34  34 21 1 160 384
