This is not always true. You have to remember that pad compound is what really matters. Good rotors don't warp and so they last longer and give you better braking in the long run. Cross Drilled rotors inherently crack with high heat. Yes they look nice, but when they start to crack, I don't want anything to do with them. Slotted rotors are the way to go if you think you have problems with warping rotors. The only drawback to slotted rotors is the vibration and noise they give off when used with a carbon metallic pad. The only reason why race teams use Cross Drilled rotors is because there is an advantage to them, but they replace the rotors after every race. Now if you have the budget to replace your cross drilled rotors after they crack then go right ahead, but I personally am under the belief that a high quality non drilled or slotted rotor will last just as long and stop just as fast. Do your pad upgrades first and then if you still have problems warping rotors, think about running brake ducts.
Sorry just had to add my 2 cents.
I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Please take a minute to visit in 'general classifieds' for "cross drilled & slotted" rotors by Hi-Tec Tool, we are trying to give everyone a break from the "middle men", inferior quality and high prices. They have given as much as 2 to3 times more life over a stock rotor. With much better braking preformace @ a close to stock price. If you can "HELP SPREAD THE WORD","FAST BREAKING NEWS! CROSS DRILLED & SLOTTED ROTORS STOP FASTER & LAST LONGER". Many thanks to all.
