To install the Hella 5 3/4 H1/H4 European lamp conversion (high and low beam lamps) it is a fairly straight forward process that does not require you to remove any trim pieces. The most complicated step will be properly adjusting them. The lamps come with two bulbs, 55w H1 and 55/60w H4. The H4 type has two different wattage outputs, a low setting and a high setting. Fuses should only be changed if you opt for the optional 100w H1 and 55/100w H4s.

For the 7" and 5 3/4" European grille and bucket system you will have to do quite a bit more work. I would recommend trying the Hella 5 3/4 H1/H4 as a first step.

Thanks for the info. I assume that the grill trim must be removed to accomplish this conversion, is that correct? Other than the fuse, must anything else be done?
