The M635csi diff is the large M diff. I would say, under 100k it would be worth about $700. As for a straight swap, are you talking about an M5. If so, yes. If not no.

how much should a excellent 3.73 LSD from a euro M635csi be worth?. The diff has new seals. Is it a straight swap or do I have to just change the rear cover?
Jake

Depends on whether the M635 has the "medium" size 3.73lsd,or the real "M" large one.The "medium" is worth $300/500 depending on condition. The "large" M class 3.73lsd is another story;only used here in the early 1987 M6 cars mostly, before they went to a 3.91,they are far larger, stronger, and hard to find.Cost is $650/850.
Of course,I know where one is,having just two weeks ago traded the M6 large 3.73 diff. to another shop for other items.
