In a thread here recently, it was written that a new pressure plate makes a big difference in clutch pedal feel. Mine is at about 140,000 and I know it has the same clutch that it had at 81,000. That's when I bought it. I have no reason to think this is not the original clutch, and it's reeeaaaal stiff. Letting the car sit for about 3 weeks recently (repairs, I have other cars & didn't need it) it came back with the clutch even stiffer than normal. Soon returned to normal with a little "work."

But, once your in there, paying for the labor of pulling the trans etc, you may as well do the whole clutch pack, and perhaps other items like trans mounts, seals (rear main) etc.

Or you could invest in a universal gym set and build the leg strength ...

My clutch is getting stiffer as time goes on. It's not slipping at all but a few people (mechanics) have mentioned doing a complete clutch job to rectify the stiffness. This sounds to expensive just to relieve my left foot in traffic.
Anyone have any advice?
