Matt,

Thanks for the help. How can I tell the difference? Also you mentioned that some have only one receptacle. Are there any that will bolt right up without a hitch?

THanks

Josh

The quick ratio will have the dogleg 1st gear shift pattern, and the overdrive will have 1st gear up and to the left. Either that or you can put the transmission in 5th gear and rotate the input shaft. (Remember, 5th is going to be where 4th usually is on a close-ratio). If the output flange make the same number of rotations in fifth gear as the input flange, it's close ratio. The output flange will rotate about 20% faster than the input if it's an overdrive. Kinda hard to tell without the shift linkage hooked up though.

Good luck,

Matt
