Unfortunately yes. I hit a 4 inch square 8 inch long piece of wood in a middle of a bridge at 60+ mph. The front wheel was bent enough that it would no longer hold the bead and air escaped. The back wheel was bent enought to wobble but at least held air. Based on an article in the Roundel I sent the worst wheel to Wheel Collision Center in Columbus Ohio. They warned me that it would be difficult to restore but I had them try. The wheel is usable, and now serves as a spare. Based on that restoration, I sent the second wheel, its now in use. Since M5 stock wheels are hard to find and expensive to replace, I think I made a good choice to repair instead of replace with sometype of aftermarket substitute.
