Folks,

Would someone look under their hood for me?

I need to know what way the evaporative purge valve is installed.

The valve is located on the passenger side inner fender wall. In front of the windshield washer solution bottle, there is a bracket held to the fender via 2 6mm studs. On the bracket, forward most is the barometric pressure sensor. Tightly against it is a relay. Then nearest the washer bottle, there is the evaporative purge valve.

It is cylindrical and gold in color with a vacuum hose on each end. One of the hoses goes to the carbon canister mounted underneath it (I think this is the bottom hose, logically.)

I need to know which end is up on this valve. One end is flat and the other has a cone taper. The flat end also has the electrical connection. Does the flat end face up or down?

You can email me directly.

I truly appreciate your help!
