Hi. I am thinking about putting some 18 inch wheels on my M5, but have heard differing opinions from people, saying that this size gets too close to the rear spring and bushing. What is the largest wheel size you can go with the E28, and what are the best sized tires for this wheel. I have heard 17" with 225/40. Does that sound right? THanks in advance. Danny Lewis

Now on tires,I have used 235/40/17,245/40/17,and 235/45/17 with no problem, based on a stock ride height and my 17x8.5" rims. But,I have adjusted the wheel's offset to do so,slightly different front and rear.
