I want to put some good springs on my stock E28 M5. The self levelling system has been removed, so that's not an issue. I would like to know what springs are preferred---H&R or Eibach, and what model of spring? I want to lower the car SOME, not a whole lot. It currently has Bilstein HDs, and I don't care if I have to change to Sports or not.

Thanks!
James

James...Eibach and H&R's will lower the car almost the same amount, about 1.2"+
I prefer the Eibach's, as they give a slightly better daily road ride. Both will work well with your current HD's,and that's the shock I recommend to most, unless they want to put up with a harsher ride for just a bit better high speed road handling with sports.
My stock engine(6800rpm chip only) '85 "trick" 535i ran down M5's for years with Eibachs/Koni's/HD Bilsteins and my own idea of suspension/gearing/brakes/wheels/tires in '89 & early 90's,from The Glen to Sebring.
