Wondering if anyone has actually bought the manual from
Schiff European for the M5? Their website lists the 524td, 528e, 535, and M5 under the same line. Not obvious if it's different, although I could get off my lazy butt and call them :^)

I called them. It's a factory reprint of all relevant M5 data that differs from that of std. e28. They were rude, nasty and I would not spend a dime of my money with them. Hope your experience is more pleasant.
