Cut a hole in the rear to the desired size. Be careful not to cut the fuel cooling circuit that runs near the trunk floor. If you're worried about sturctural integrity, have a welder weld in a frame made from 1" box section tube that goes around the perimeter. The tubing will cost about $5.00 from the hardware store. Get the thinnest they sell. Have the welder crawl into the trunk and weld 1" seams in several places around it.

This may be overkill, but if you cut a hole in something, you're going to weaken it. There is a main rib that runs right down the center of the trunk wall, and you'll cut part of it out when you make your pass-through.

Make sure you scrape off the sound deadening in the area and brush the paint off with a wire wheel and drill. The welder will thank you for it. Clean the area with laquer thinner after the welder is done, then prime and paint.
