Had the UUC short shifter installed about 10 days ago ... (the new height adjustable model). A little stiff at first, but starting to break in now. Can't comment on any other solutions, or on longevity, but I'm REALLY happy with it right now. Now just waiting for my back ordered "Rob Knob II"
