He's only claiming based on what the manufacturer's claim. Can't really blame him. I think you should call or write Dinan, Jim C. And Auto and post your complaint to them.

The funny part is when you had to try 3 chips. Keep your opinions to yourself.

Maybe he has other mods on his car.
