Eisenmann Stainless Sport Exhaust (archive)

Does any one on this message board have experience with Eisenmann Stainless Sport Exhaust?

In the US these German built rear mufflers are sold at Bekker Imports so I would need to order one to feel the merchandise. I also found Power-Exhaust(power-exhaust.com) that sells German made mufflers for the BMW's. I would like to know if these are high quality fabricated mufflers.

I just installed a Racing Dynamics OE style SS exhaust on my E-34, M5. The RD cat-back is identical to the OE exhaust in appearance and fit. It is a single assembly, resonator and rear muffler that uses the OE exhaust hangers. It has a slightly deeper tone at idle and a slightly louder than OE stock M5 sport sound when on the throttle.
This SS exhaust was well worth the $1000 I paid for it. The RD Sport guys said it normally retails for $2900. I don't believe the retail list price however it is without a doubt worth the $1000.

Now I'm in search of a performance exhaust for my 88, M6.
The current selection of aftermarket cat-back exhaust such as B&B Fabrication(TriFlow) and others use a smaller exhaust pipe, resonator and muffler through pipe that I would prefer. I would like to have an exhaust that has the same pipe size as the E-34, M5. That is a 65mm/2.5 inch exhaust tubing and keep the resonator and rear muffler that large to produce the E-34, M5 exhaust rumble without the loud exhaust crackle from the smaller pipes and mufflers!! I also want to replace the original cats with either 2.25 or 2.5 inch cats.
I have located most of the SS parts necessary from MagaFlow. They offer a crossover(SS?), SS cats and a SS dual inlet and dual outlet oval muffler that can be used as a resonator. MegaFlow cats look tempting as a replacement since they are a 100% stainless body and heat shield!! Also, Burns offers high dollar SS crossovers($250), clamps and other SS tubing components that would help in producing a quality exhaust.
I have yet to feel the MegaFlow components so I can't speak to their finish.

The missing element is the rear muffler and I hoping to find a quality unit that has large enough inlet and outlet pipes to use behind a 3.8 - 4 liter S38.

Thanks,
