Check and replace the main relay (5-prong) and fuel pump relay (4-prong). These fail causing intermittant no-start or cut-off conditions. I don't know where they are on the M5. If mine ever fails, I'm screwed! I saw two or three orange plastic relays under the dash above the driver side kick panel. These may or may not be the ones. They do not appear to be under the hood, and I know for a fact that they're not inside the fusebox.
