1988 M5 WBSDC9302J2791204 Black/tan. AVS tires, Dinan suspension, camber plates, chip, timing gear, frozen rotors – otherwise all original. Recent clutch, AC overhaul, new timing belt tensioners, hoses, waterpump, radiator. Driven everyday – reliable, clean. Car gets many compliments. New child forces sale. 183K miles.

Note this car has had important repairs related to longevity: Complete rebuild of timing chain tensioner system, including a Fahey hub for the drive shaft gear. This was an expensive repair carried out in Berkeley, CA by Bavarian Professionals. It also has the self-leveling suspension removed. (I kept all the parts). Pretty much every hose, belt, and line in the engine compartment has been replaced.

Most of the time I owned the car (since 94) I lived in Northern California. The car is originally a Connecticut car. It is a great daily driver (it would have to be, with that many miles!).
